Local Government & Land Use Attorney

Jeff represents both local governments and private individuals in matters involving local government, land use, and regulatory compliance.

His municipal practice includes advising cities and public entities on governance, land-use regulation, development approvals, and related legal issues. He regularly works with elected officials, boards, and staff to navigate statutory requirements, public-process obligations, and risk management considerations.

At the same time, Jeff assists property owners, developers, and individuals who need guidance when interacting with local government. He helps clients understand zoning and land-use regulations, pursue approvals and entitlements, respond to enforcement actions, and resolve disputes involving municipal decision-making. Having worked on both sides of these issues, Jeff is able to anticipate concerns, identify practical solutions, and guide matters toward efficient resolution.

This balanced perspective—shaped by years in private practice, service as a Circuit Court Judge, and ongoing municipal representation—allows Jeff to approach local-government and land-use matters with a clear understanding of how decisions are made and how outcomes can be achieved within the regulatory framework.
